JACKSON — Gwendolyn Janette “Net” Brunson, 74, formerly of Oxford, died Saturday, June 4, 2016, at University Medical Center in Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Terry with burial to follow in Terry Cemetery. Visitation will be held today from 5-8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and from 10 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the church. Chancellor Funeral Home in Terry is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Madden, she was a longtime resident of Terry. She was formerly employed with the Lafayette County Youth Court in Oxford, Merrill Lynch, Region II Mental Health in Oxford, Charter Hospital in Jackson and was currently the co-owner of Brunco Trucking. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Terry, a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Jimmy Peoples.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Murl Brunson of Terry; son Steven Brunson of Terry; sister Pat Brunson of Terry; two grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
