Delia Childers has been named retail advertising manager of The Oxford EAGLE, oxfordeagle.com and subsidiary publications.

Childers, an Oxford resident, previously served as a retail advertising sales representative for The EAGLE. She will continue to provide customer service to her existing clients as well as lead the advertising team.

“I’m excited by the opportunity to lead the talented and award-winning advertising staff of The EAGLE,” Childers said. “We take seriously our role to help local businesses reach our audience of more than 6 out of 10 local residents — an audience no one else comes close to matching.”

Born in Lambert, Childers graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1996 with a political science degree. She worked for more than two decades in sales, marketing and sales management in the Jackson area before relocating to Oxford in 2015.

She is the mother of three children, Grace, 17; Alex, 14; and Eva, 11. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, playing tennis and cheering for the Ole Miss Rebels.
