Everyone is welcome to attend the annual meeting at Yalobusha Primitive Baptist Church in Water Valley. Services will be at 7 p.m. today and at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, followed by lunch. On Sunday at 10:30 a.m., Elder James Hall will minister. Lunch will follow. Elder Josh Winslett is the invited minister.
Today
Rivers Hill Church of Christ is sponsoring a clothing giveaway at CB Webb apartments at 900 Molly Barr Road from 8 to 10 a.m. Kids, women, men clothing as well as some household items available. Free to the public.
Saturday
Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church youth department ministry will present a fashion show at 6 p.m. at the Lester Hill Family Life Center. Dinner is included with the cost of each ticket. Tickets are $12 each. For more information, send an email to parkercoasie@yahoo.com.
A marriage workshop titled, “How Do I Fix My Marriage?” will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Oxford Lafayette Chamber of Commerce on West Jackson Avenue. The event is free and open to the public. Sponsored by Rivers Hill Church of Christ.
Sunday
Tula Community Homecoming at 10:30 a.m. in the Tula Baptist Church sanctuary with Brother Mike Wolfe bringing the message. A potluck lunch will follow in the activities building. The church is located at 234 County Road 436. Everyone is invited.
July 3
The Bowles Family Reunion will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Springdale Church on Highway 334. Everyone is welcome.
Aug. 7-9
“Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames” is coming to Calvary Baptist Church in Oxford at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 7 through Aug. 9. Viewed by millions the world over, “Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames” is a high-impact compelling, multi-media production intensified by professional lighting, sound projectors, screens, visual effects, staging and sets. The drama includes a cast of about 40 church volunteers acting out a series of vignettes about people who make choices throughout their lives, die and find themselves facing their eternal destination.
The drama is a production of Reality Outreach Ministries and has been playing to packed auditoriums not only throughout North America, but also around the world. The Canadian-based ministry has been reaching out to the world through this drama for over 30 years. Admission is free. Calvary Baptist Church is located at 15 County Road 207.
