Martha Mae Wortham, 83, died Sept. 5, 2016, at her daughter’s home in Thaxton. A longtime Walmart employee and pastor, she grew up in Calhoun City.

Visitation will be at the Church of the Living God in Thaxton from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday with funeral services at the church at 10 a.m. Saturday with interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Coleman Funeral Home of Oxford is in charge of the arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Wortham; a daughter, Shelley Ruth Boles; and a son, Michael Lee Wortham.

Survivors include daughters Mary Crudup and Donna Fisher, both of Thaxton; sons Robert Lee Wortham of Oxford, Calvin Wortham of Thaxton, and Quay Lee Wortham of Thaxton; a sister, Peggy Jane Woodard of Detroit, Michigan; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
