It’s another fall semester at Ole Miss which means fraternity and sorority rush week is coming soon.

So when is Ole Miss Rush 2016 and sorority Bid Day?

Ole Miss’ fraternities and sororities begin the formal process of what is now call Recruitment Week on October 9 with Greek Day.

The process for sorority rush is six days long, running from October 9-October 15, 2016 before culminating with Bid Day on October 16, 2016.

Years before, Ole Miss held rush in late August, before classes began. But the university abandoned that practice years ago to allow freshmen to acclimate to classes before rush.

More than 7,500 students at Ole Miss are affiliated with fraternities and sororities on campus, making it the most popular extracurricular activity among the student body.

There are 15 fraternities on the Ole Miss campus, governed by the Interfraternity Council.
