Emmet E. Bailey

OXFORD — Emmet E. Bailey, 95, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with burial in the Coffeeville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, which is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Russellville, Kentucky, he served in the United States Navy during World War II and retired as an equipment operator with the Corp of Engeineers. He was a member of the Coffeeville Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Lorraine Ruth Nagel Bailey and his daughter, Janie Bailey.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda M. Bailey of Palisade, Colorado; sons Jerry Bailey of Water Valley and Ron Bailey of Olive Branch; and sister Luvina Box of Exeter, California.
