MEMPHIS, Tennessee — Mark Laver Hays, 39, of Hickory Flat, died Monday, Sept. 19, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at Yellow Leaf Baptist Church near Oxford with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Long Beach, California, Mark had lived much of his life in Oxford and was a truck driver for Memphis-based JIT-EX.

He is survived by his wife, Brandy Jean Stanford Hays of Hickory Flat; parents, Gene and Barbara Hays of Oxford; grandmother, Beverly Hays of Oxford; brothers Eric Hays (Karla Ray) and Ron (Elizabeth), both of Oxford.
