A Memphis man was killed Saturday in the early morning hours when he drove off the road for unknown reasons.

According to Lafayette County Coroner Rocky Kennedy, Acacio Montealvo Jr., was traveling east on Highway 6 when his vehicle left the road in the area of Steeplechase subdivision and overturned.

Montealvo, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene.

He was a Memphis resident but was living in Oxford while working in the area.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the wreck.
