Elizabeth Vivian Brite Bowman, 72, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. The funeral service will be Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, Coffeeville, with the Rev. Stacy Douglas officiating. Burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery in Oxford,. Visitation will take place beginning at 12 noon prior to the service at the church. Waller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Oxford, to the late Jerrold Jefferson and Delia Odessa Childress Brite, Mrs. Bowman had worked as a receptionist at the U.S. Forestry Service. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Coffeeville. She found great enjoyment in decorating cakes for others.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Leroy Bowman of Coffeeville; daughters, Tammy Brite Firman of Woodberry Forrest, Virginia, Mary Brite Sellers of Oxford and Lyn Jackson of Tupelo; sons, Gregory Malone of Batesville, Richard Malone of Water Valley and David Bowman of Batesville; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in Mrs. Bowman’s memory may be made to Clear Creek Cemetery Fund, 46 County Road 313, Oxford, MS 38655.
