LCSD investigates alleged abduction

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a report of a women claiming to have been knocked out, dragged and bound Friday night.

According to Chief Investigator Alan Wilburn, at 7:30 p.m. Friday deputies responded to County Road 425 where the alleged victim told deputies someone knocked her out while she was working at a nearby kennel and dragged her several hundred feet. She woke up with her hands bound with duct tape; however she was not sexually assaulted and nothing was stolen.

Wilburn said there have been no arrests as of this morning and no motive established. The victim was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi but released shortly after with minor injuries.
