The Oxford Police Department arrested two Hattiesburg men for allegedly breaking into Grandmaz Slackers recently.
According to the OPD, officers responded to the smoke shop on West Jackson Avenue on Sunday for a report of a burglary. Sometime during the night, the suspect entered the building through a window.
Officers took the report and left the store. A little while later, a man came into the store with cuts and blood on his shorts. The shop owner called police and asked them to return to the store.
Samuel Lovitt, 19, was taken to the OPD for questioning. Investigators were able to determine that Lovitt and Adam Lopingo, 21, broke into the business. Both were arrested, charged with burglary and taken to the Lafayette County Detention Center where they booked on $10,000 bonds.
All of the stolen water and glass pipes, valued $1,820, were destroyed by the suspects.
