Oxford Center instructors attend annual conference

Two Northwest Mississippi Community College instructors, Dr. Carol Cleveland and Renee O’Neill, were selected to attend the annual Lamplighters Conference on Oct. 6-7 at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson. Cleveland and O’Neill were chosen for this honor by the academic leadership of the college.
Cleveland, who teaches biology, has worked at Northwest since 2001. She started as an adjunct on the Senatobia campus and at the DeSoto Center before taking a full-time position at the Senatobia campus in 2002. She taught on the Senatobia campus until 2013, when she began teaching at the Lafayette-Yalobusha Technical Center (LYTC) in Oxford.
O’Neill, who teaches English at LYTC, began as an adjunct instructor in 2003 and became a full-time instructor in 2010. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and history from the University of Mississippi and a Master of Education from Delta State University.
