Alice James Mize, 64, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at 2 p.m. at North Oxford Baptist Church with the Rev. Annette Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will take place Monday evening, Dec. 5, 2016, from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at Waller Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Born to the late Rebecca Jean Williams and Paul Edward James, Alice was a retired school teacher and taught at Lafayette Middle School for 38 years. She was a member of North Oxford Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Dee Mize of Oxford; a daughter, Rebecca Leigh Mize of Oxford; sisters, Barbara Gafford and her husband Ray of New Albany, and Pam Harris and her husband Joe of Bemidji, Minnesota and many nieces and nephews.
