Rubert Dean Bruner, 68, died Sunday, December 18, 2016, at his home in Oxford.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Oxford-University United Methodist Church with funeral services following in the church sanctuary. The Rev. Warren Black and the Rev. Eddie Rester will officiate. Interment will be in the Oxford Memorial Cemetery. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra H. Bruner of Oxford; two daughters, Jennifer B. John of Taylor, and Heather B. Harrison of Alpharetta, Georgia; one sister, Margie B. Chandler of Bruce; one brother-in-law, Garner Hickman of Oxford; and five grandchildren.

His parents, Ralph and Clara Mae Bruner, preceded him in death.
