HOUSTON, Mississippi — Charles R. Heard, 85, of Oxford, died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016, at Trace Regional Hospital in Houston. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home with burial in Kingdom Cemetery in Yocona. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Willie Joe Heard.

He is survived by his wife Bobbye Heard of Oxford; son Charles R. Heard of Oxford; brothers B.R. Heard and Harold Heard, both of Oxford, and James Heard of Blue Mountain; sister Annie Keel; two grandsons and two great grandsons.
