A Pope couple are dead after an apparent murder/suicide, according to The Panolian.

Panola County Coroner Gracie Gulledge confirmed that Pamela Williams, 54, was shot and killed by her husband, Cooper Williams Jr. 52, who then shot himself at their Enid Shores home about 3 p.m. Friday.

Pamela was a long-time rural mail carrier. The couple has two adult children, including a son in Oxford.
