To complete their child’s pre-K registration, parents must complete two important tasks during Pre-K Registration Week, Jan. 16-20, 2017: they must register their child online for pre-K and turn in required registration documents to school officials all before the Jan. 20, 2017, pre-K registration deadline.

Bramlett Elementary School’s Pre-K Program student registration for the 2017-2018 school year opens online Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at 8 a.m. through the Oxford School District’s website, www.oxfordsd.org/preK. Parents will have the opportunity to fill out their child’s online registration through Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, when the online pre-K registration closing at 4 p.m. Oxford school officials will begin accepting required registration documents Jan. 19-20, 2017, at the OSD Student Registration Office.

“Both online registration and dropping off required registration documents are necessary in order for a child’s registration to be considered complete,” says OSD Student Registration Director SuzAnne Liddell.

Required registration documents

Parents will drop off their child’s documents in one spot, the OSD Student Registration Office located at 409 Washington Avenue in Oxford. School officials will accept documents from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each registration drop-off day, Jan. 19-20, 2017.

School officials use required registration documents to verify whether or not a child lives within the Oxford School District. Parents are encouraged to make sure their child’s required documents are correct and up-to-date before dropping them off with school officials.

Access to computers, technology assistance

If parents or families need access to computers to fill out their child’s registration online, OSD offers assistance at no cost. Families can visit the district’s Student Registration Office, where computers and technology support are offered weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The OSD Student Registration Office is located at 409 Washington Avenue in Oxford.

Bramlett Elementary School’s Pre-K Program Qualifications

To qualify to register for the Oxford School District’s Pre-K Program, students must be four years old on or before Sept. 1, 2017, and live in the Oxford School District.

School officials say that completing the pre-K registration process for a child does not guarantee a spot in the district’s pre-K program: the program serves students based on the socioeconomic and academic needs of the student. Parents will be notified by mail of their child’s selection into the district’s pre-K program by the end of March 2017.

Bramlett Elementary School uses Head Start guidelines, income eligibility, and then incorporates a firstcome, first-served basis for students who apply for the school’s pre-K program. At this time, the district’s pre-K program serves 112 students every school year.
