The Oxford Planning Commission this week approved plans for The Oaks on East Jackson, a new condominium community located at 1740 Jackson Avenue East, two blocks from The Square. The Oaks on East Jackson, Phase I, will see the development of four luxury condominiums, including two three-bedroom homes and two two-bedroom homes.
“The Oaks” name celebrates the oak tree-covered location where the condominium community is being developed. Fourteen different oak trees — including Red Oak, White Oak and Post Oak, as well as Locust, Cedar and Pines — currently inhabit the location and the developer plans to preserve the trees.
“We are committed to preserving the trees and the picturesque natural setting where The Oaks condos are being built,” said Michele West Stuber, a principal with the development company. “We believe the trees, setting and location near the square are important features for prospective buyers.”
The Oaks on East Jackson is a GoWest Development project. Interested buyers should contact Tim Phillips at CRYE LEIKE Real Estate in Oxford.
