Here’s to the spring semester
A new semester gets underway at Ole Miss on Monday and we are excited to see all the students return.
The first weeks of January are quiet and enjoyable with only some back for the university’s short Intersession that begins right after the New Year, but by the third week of January we are ready for Oxford and Ole Miss to be fully plugged in once again.
Ole Miss is known beyond these parts more for its football season and tailgating in the Grove but those who really know this city and campus understand that spring is quite special, too.
Oxford has its upcoming annual film festival.
Rebel baseball season starts back soon, and we can hardly wait for coach Mike Bianco’s Rebels to delight thousands of fans on sun-splashed spring days.
Spring also means Oxford’s Double Decker Festival and good days for walking and outdoor activity and so much more.
It’s also the time we get to see more of our students since fraternity and sorority pledging comes to an end and football weekends don’t take up so much time.
So here’s to the spring semester 2017 for Oxford and Ole Miss.
