Bernice S. Lemons

Bernice S. Lemons, 84, of the Bethlehem community near Potts Camp, died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017 at her home.

A member of the Bethlehem Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Mrs. Lemons loved her church and its leadership. She enjoyed quilting, going to Southern gospel concerts and reading. Mrs. Lemons loved her children, grands and greats very much.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017, 5-8 p.m. at the Bethlehem Church of the Lord Jesus Christ on Highway 349 South in Marshall County. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at the church with burial in the church cemetery. Bishop Steve Wilson and Pastor Jon Vazquez will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include two sons, Don (Jan) Lemons and Layne Lemons both of Potts Camp; four daughters, Barbara Lemons and Beverly (Bobby) Watson, both of Potts Camp, Judi (Ron) Fox of Olive Branch, and Joy (Billy) Joyner of Hickory Flat; 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, AQ Lemons; parents, G. W. Stanton, Sr. and Mittie Joyner Stanton; two grandchildren, Brandy Jo Fox and Jason Heath Fox; one great-grandchild, Cheyenne Raine Watson; one brother, Thomas Stanton; two brothers-in-law, Joe Pipkin and Jay Vanzant.

Pallbearers will be Pablo Garcia, Loren Lemons, Jack Joshlin, Dana Watson, Dennis Watson, Brian Joyner, and Ben Hogue.
