2017 Grove Bowl will introduce new coaches, players

Grove Bowl weekend is always an enjoyable spring time for Oxford and Ole Miss and this year’s will be no different.
First, the football. With a new lineup of assistant coaches for the Rebels, including offensive coordinator Phil Longo and defensive coordinator Wesley McGriff, there will be plenty to see and study during the high-scale scrimmage that begins at 11 a.m.
This will be the best time to see what is almost a complete remake of the staff for Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze until the Rebels kick off in the fall of 2017.
The skies are forecast to be sunny all weekend, which means the Rebel baseball team should make a run at the single-game and weekend attendance records, hosting Alabama for Grove Bowl weekend.
Coach Bianco’s baseball team was stung by Mississippi State last weekend, getting swept in three games at home. But his young, yet talented, squad bounced back Tuesday night, beating No. 17 Southern Mississippi.
This Alabama series will be a critical point in the Ole Miss baseball season, the chance for the Rebels to remain in the thick of the SEC standings.
So here’s to the upcoming Grove Bowl 2017 weekend and everything in store.
