Ole Miss vs. Arizona State live score updates: Rebels advance to regional championship
Fresh off a win over Southern Illinois in its first-ever NCAA Tournament game at home, Ole Miss softball will play Arizona State today in the winner’s bracket of the Oxford Regional with a spot in the regional finals on the line. The game, weather permitting, will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Ole Miss Softball Complex.
Arizona State beat North Carolina 9-3 in the regional opener Friday to advance. Southern Illinois and North Carolina will meet in an elimination game today at 4 p.m.

UPDATE: The start of the game has been delayed by rain. First pitch will now be at approximately 1:45 p.m.
Top 1st: Kaitlin Lee gives up a one-out single but nothing else. Ole Miss coming to bat for the first time.
Bottom 1st: Elantra Cox reaches on a drag bunt, but Arizona State’s Dale Ryndak retires the next three batters. No score after an inning.
Top 2nd: Lee sits the Sun Devils down in order.
Bottom 2nd: Kaylee Horton works a one-out walk, but nothing comes of it. Still scoreless after two.
Top 3rd: Marisa Stankiewicz drives one to the deepest part of the park for a loud out. A popup and a groundout end the Sun Devils’ half of the inning.
Bottom 3rd: Ole Miss gets two hits but can’t do anything with them. Ashton Lampton’s infield popup ends the inning.
Top 4th: Arizona State threatens with a leadoff walk and a single, but Ashton Lampton jumps to snag a liner and doubles off the runner at second. A groundout sends the game to the bottom of the inning still scoreless.
Bottom 4th: Nothing doing for Ole Miss, which is retired in order for the first time today.
Top 5th: Lee works a clean inning. Arizona State has just two hits after five.
Bottom 5th: Ole Miss goes in order. The teams have combined for five hits through five.
Top 6th: Arizona State goes 1-2-3 for the fourth time today. Lee has retired eight in a row.
Bottom 6th: Elantra Cox leads off with a triple over Arizona State right fielder Brynley Steele’s head, her third hit today, and scores on Kylan Becker’s triple. Becker has six RBIs in the regional. Ole Miss 1-0.
