Ole Miss will play at least three night games next season.
The Rebels’ Sept. 2 season opener against South Alabama will start at 6:30 p.m. on ESPNU while their Week 3 trip to California on Sept. 16 is set for a 9:30 p.m. kick on ESPN. The annual Egg Bowl against rival Mississippi State, which is moving back to Thanksgiving this season, will kick off from Starkville at 6:30 p.m. and also be carried on ESPN.
Times and television assignments for the three games were announced Wednesday.
The rest of Ole Miss’ schedule includes home games against Tennessee-Martin (Sept. 9), Vanderbilt (Oct. 14), LSU (Oct. 21), Arkansas (Oct. 28), Louisiana-Lafayette (Nov. 11) and Texas A&M (Nov. 18) and trips to Alabama (Sept. 30), Auburn (Oct. 7) and Kentucky (Nov. 4). Times and TV designations for those games will be announced at a later date.
Ole Miss is coming off its first losing season of Hugh Freeze’s five-year tenure. The Rebels have self-imposed a bowl ban for the upcoming season stemming from the NCAA’s investigation into the program.
