Ole Miss’ wave of commitments continued Thursday.

Allen Love, a defensive lineman out of Birmingham’s Huffman High, gave his verbal pledge to the Rebels. Love announced his commitment in a video with AL.com posted to his Twitter account.

Love’s pledge gives Ole Miss seven commitments for the 2018 recruiting class, all of which have come since the end of April. Six of them have come in the last 16 days.

A consensus three-star recruit, the 6-foot-3, 285-pound Love is the fifth defensive lineman in the class and the Rebels’ second pledge from a defensive tackle in Alabama. Eufaula’s Ka’Darian Hill committed to Ole Miss on Monday.

Wayne County defensive tackle Quentin Bivens, Meridian defensive end Deuntra Hyman, Millwood (Oklahoma) defensive tackle Israel Antwine, Byrnes (South Carolina) receiver Demarcus Gregory and Sciotoville (Ohio) offensive lineman Blaine Scott make up the rest of the Rebels’ class. Gregory and Scott are ranked as four-star prospects by Rivals.com and Scout.com, respectively.
