- Church of the Nativity Episcopal has sat vacant for years in Water Valley for years and just recently held their first service since 2003. The building has been undergoing demolition and repairs to both the interior and exterior. Holy Eucharist service is held every Saturday evening at 5.
The Church of the Nativity Episcopal building has been undergoing a transformation with new exterior paint, new roof, interior wood floors and other repairs and additions to the building.
On May 6, the church held their first service since 2003 and the building has been undergoing repairs since then. Church officials were hopeful the work would be completed in time for the Water Valley Watermelon Carnival that begins today.
The church, located at 609 North Main, was built in 1918 before being destroyed by the 1984 tornado that hit Water Valley. Check their Facebook page for service times.
