James Daniel “Danny” Tallant, 68, departed this life, Sunday, August 13, 2017 at St. Dominic Hospital, Jackson, Mississippi. He was born April, 2, 1949 in Lambert, Mississippi to the late Wylie and Opal Lucille Crocker Tallant.  He was retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company and later worked in the wholesale food sales and with his wife at Hometown Café in Bruce. He enjoyed deer hunting, reading and spending time with his family and his treasured grandchildren and great grandchildren. He attended Mt. Comfort Baptist Church of Bruce.

Services will be 10:00A.M., Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rex Wilburn and Dr. J.R. Eaton officiating.  Visitation will be 5 until 8:00P.M., Monday, August 14, 2017 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Billy Daniels, Wrench Hellums, Melvin Horne, Matt Miatech, Paul Tutor and Sam Tutor.  Burial will be in Bruce Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy Tutor Tallant of Bruce, a daughter; Lenee Tallant, Oxford, MS, a God-daughter; Brandy Russell, Nashville,TN, two sisters; Judy Rogivue, Corinth, TX and Martha Tutor, Algoma, MS, two brothers; Terry Tallant, Banner, MS and Rickey Tallant, Bruce, MS, three grandchildren; Britney Wilkins, Shelby Owens and Hunter Winters, six great grandchildren; Zander Birmingham, Khloe Woodard, Marly Woodard, Jaxon Owen, Caleb Wilkins and Dani Alexis Miatech.
