Local business leader and entrepreneur, Kate Rosson, has launched her latest business, 662 Marketing, geared towards niche small town marketing. 662 Marketing’s focus will be that of the client, around four key areas: social media, content marketing, public relations, and brand strategy.
“I have said for the past 10-plus years, that small town businesses need the opportunity to have marketing help, in a way that works for them,” says Kate Rosson, president. “Taking in account my past seven years in corporate communications and marketing, alongside my tenure as president of the Oxford-Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce, I knew the time was now.”
Rosson, former owner of A Bash Events in Oxford, is not new to the small business arena and has been recognized many times for her business skills, being named in the top 50 Leading Business Women by the Mississippi Business Journal, named Best Kept Secret in the Oxford EAGLE Best Of contest and earned top spots in the Ole Miss Alumni Review and other national publications.
This is the fourth business for Rosson to launch in her career. Her previous experience from 2010-2016 at the American Cancer Society as a communications and marketing executive at the national level allowed her to expand her website development and social media expertise to a constituent base across the world. She then served as the Marketing Director for a regional developer, helping rebrand a handful of companies as well as website design and build a social media presence.
“I like to think I’m practical, yet creative enough to look through the lenses of a business objectively and come up with some pretty awesome solutions for whatever may be at stake,“ Rosson said.
