Frank Lloyd Tatum, 78, died Saturday, August 19, 2017, at his home in Taylor, MS.A graveside service will be held Monday, August 21, 2017, at 11:30 A.M. at Browning Cemetery with Rev. Fred Eakes officiating.
Born in Oxford, MS, to Grace Linder and Jim Q. Tatum Sr., Mr. Tatum was a farmer and owned Tatum Farms and he was also the owner of Frank Tatum Trucking Company.
He served as a Private First Class in the U.S. Marine Corps and he was a member of Taylor Baptist Church.
Mr. Tatum is survived by his daughters, Lisa Jenkins and her husband, Jamie of Taylor, MS, Dana Briscoe and her husband, John of Oxford, MS and Nicole Smith and her husband, Jason of Oxford, MS.; son, Lee Frank Tatum and his fiancé, Jessica of Taylor, MS; sister, Martha Tatum of Taylor, MS. and brother, Jim Q. “Brother” Tatum Jr. of Taylor, MS.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Tatum was preceded in death by his wife Sherry Cole Tatum, his parents, and sisters Jimmie Callicoat and Katherine Collins.Memorial contributions in Mr. Tatum’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
