Billy Ray Brooks, 80, passed away Oct. 23, 2017 after a long illness. Bill was raised and graduated high school in Wynne, Ark. where he met his wife Donna Condra Brooks. They shared a loving marriage for 56 years. Bill and Donna were longtime residents of Oxford, Miss where they raised their family. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was an unpretentious man with a tough outer shell that protected a very tender heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Laudie Brooks; sisters, Nell Windham, Frances Morris, and Beulah High; and brother William “Bud” Brooks.

Survivors include wife, Donna; daughters, Courtney Brooks Henderson (Barry) and Jeanna Brooks Adams; three grandchildren, Ford Adams, Sara Brooks Adams, and Holt Adams; and brother Charles Brooks.

A private family service will be held at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, Miss.
