Baptist Memorial to hold ribbon cutting for new hospital on Wednesday
Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi will hold an official ribbon cutting for its state-of-the-art $300 million dollar facility on Wednesday in advance of the new hospital’s opening later this month.
The ribbon cutting will be at 11 a.m.
The new hospital is five stories tall and three times larger than New York’s Grand Central Station. It offers patients expanded services, including a larger emergency department; advanced technology; and larger rooms.
The hospital will officially open on Saturday, Nov. 25. The University of Mississippi purchased the current hospital building, located at 2301 South Lamar, to address current space and future growth needs.
