Bradley Clifton “Brad” Bennett, 48, passed away Tuesday morning, No. 7, 2017, surrounded by his family at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi. The funeral service will be held Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Waller Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Hope and Rev. Fish Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Abbeville Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in West Hall at Waller Funeral Home.

Following retirement from the City of Oxford Fire Department, Brad worked as a hunting guide with Whitetail Heaven Outfitters.  A 1987 graduate of Lafayette High School and Lafayette Commodore Football player, he was active in the 4-H Club sporting events where he competed in bow, rifle and skeet competitions. An avid outdoorsman, Brad enjoyed crappie fishing and turkey hunting, was talented in grabbling and was competitive in turkey and duck calling contests.  He was a member of College Hill Heights Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Winter Bennett.

He is survived by his father James Clifford “Pete” Bennett of Oxford, Miss; a daughter, Chelsea Elizabeth Bennett of Oxford, Miss; a son Morgan “Chase” Bennett of Abbeville, Miss; a sister Melissa Bennett Tutor of Abbeville, Miss; a brother Shawn E. Bennett of Oxford, Miss; his fiancé, Monica McNece Pruitt of Oxford, Miss; two grandchildren, Charlotte Elise Bennett and Emma Jayne Bennett of Oxford, Miss.  Brad is also survived by two aunts, Nina Rikard of Oxford, Miss and Bonnie Fair of Louisville, Miss and two uncles Bill Bennett of Oxford, Miss and Randy Rodgers of Oxford, Miss.
