John Patrick (Pat) Williams, age 51, of Denver, Colo. and formerly of Oxford, Miss, passed away Friday, Nov. 10, 2017.

A Memorial Service will be held at Hodges Funeral Home, Saturday, Nov. 18 at 1 p.m.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Lucius L. Williams, Jr. and Mrs. Willa M. Williams.

He is survived by a sister, Dr. Darlene Williams Washington of Oxford, Miss; brother, Daryl (Joan) Williams of Florence, Ala; a niece, Caitlin Williams of Florence, Ala; nephews, Charles R. Washington, III of Oxford, Miss and Lucius L. Williams, III of Florence, Ala; one great-nephew, Charles “Caz” R. Washington, IV; a special aunt, Lillian Harris of Springfield, Mass.; and a very loving extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pat accepted Christ at an early age at Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Roosevelt, New York. After his family moved to Oxford, he joined East Providence M.B. Church and later attended Second M.B. Church of Oxford.

Pat graduated from Oxford High School and attended Northwest Mississippi Community College and the University of Mississippi.  Pat was a fun-loving guy, an avid sportsman, musician, chef and loved the outdoors.
