Ole Miss’ A.J. Brown named a Conerly Trophy finalist

A.J. Brown has a chance to be named Mississippi’s top college football player.
The sophomore wide receiver named named as a finalist for the C Spire Conerly Trophy by the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame on Monday morning.
Brown joins Mississippi State quarterback Nick Fitzgerald, Southern Mississippi running back Ito Smith and seven other players from colleges around the Magnolia State as finalists.
The award will be handed out on Nov. 28 at a banquet at the Hilton in Jackson where former Ole Miss great Archie Manning is the guest speaker.
Former Ole Miss tight end Evan Engram won last year’s award.
Brown leads the the Rebels with 1,085 yards and 10 touchdowns on 69 receptions through the first 11 games of the season.
