Dannon Sloan Benjamin, 42, passed away Nov. 26, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi. Dannon graduated from Oxford High School in 1994. He and his father started Benjamin Design and Construction, which he operated until his death. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting with his son Heath, daughter Destiny and wife Heather. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Services will be Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc. Bro. Mike Warren and Bro. Josh Westmoreland will be officiating. Burial will follow. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife Heather Bolen Benjamin and his son Heath Garner Benjamin, both of Hurricane, Miss; daughter Destiny R. Griffin; son in law Robert F. Griffin; and granddaughter Haisley Carter Griffin all of Water Valley, Miss.; his parents Danny and Dianne Sloan Benjamin of Oxford, Miss; sister Danae Benjamin Horton; brother in law Randy Horton; niece Alex Horton Weeks (Storm Weeks) and niece Sloan Horton all of Hortontown, Miss; uncles Donald Lee Sloan of Cherry Creek and Lanny Benjamin (Annette) of Hurricane, Miss.; aunt Sis Grubbs of Pontotoc, Miss.; many cousins and especially his close cousin Kevin Benjamin.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Leroy and Bird Sloan and paternal grandparents Dudley and Arvella Benjamin.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Benjamin, Jake Hudson, Matt Smith, Chad Spears, Jimmy Jenkins and Storm Weeks; honorary pallbearers Neal Spears, Brandon Moody, Doug Gean, John Bolen, Brady Jenkins, Brandon Jenkins, Colton Jenkins, Gary Jenkins, Glen Hunter, Dustin Benjamin, Mark Walker and John Watson.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017 12 p.m. until service time.
