Thomas Clinton Cox, 79, of Coffeeville, Miss passed away on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford, Miss. He was born March 30, 1938 in Water Valley, Miss to the late Eva Alice French and Joe Thomas Cox. Tom joined the U.S. Army at an early age and made a career of the military service. He was Church of Christ by faith.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Seven Oaks Funeral Home with services beginning at 11 a.m. in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley.

Tom is survived by his daughter, Kibby Powell of Middle Town, Md; a son, Jason (Malissa) Cox of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Bettie (Ron) Snellville, Ga; and a brother, Bruce Edward Cox of Florence, Ala; and three grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Faye Mitchell and a brother, James Robert Cox.
