Holiday closing, trash collection changes

Due to the New Year’s Eve holiday, all city of Oxford, Lafayette County, state and local federal government offices will be closed Monday in observance of the New Year.
There will be no change in garbage collection for the city of Oxford. In Lafayette County, Monday’s route will be collected on Wednesday.
Buses with the Oxford-University Transit System will not run on Monday.
The U.S. Post Office will be closed Monday.
The Lafayette County & Oxford Public Library will be closed Sunday and Monday.
The Oxford EAGLE will publish a paper on New Year’s Day; however, the office will be closed.
