2-3 inches of snow possible tonight into morning
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Lafayette County and other parts of north Mississippi. The warning will be in effect starting at 9 p.m. tonight through noon on Tuesday. An arctic front will be moving through the area later today. Snow is expected to fall after 1 a.m. Tuesday until about 1 p.m. with 2 to 3 inches of accumulation possible. Temperatures are expected to drop to 20 degrees overnight tonight with wind values in the single digits. Tuesday’s high is expected to be 23 with a low of 9 degrees.
