Lafayette County and Oxford schools closed Wednesday due to icy conditions
The Lafayette County School District will be closed Wednesday, January 17 due to dangerous road conditions, the district announced Tuesday afternoon.
The Oxford School District announced that due to dangerous road conditions in the county and on key roads in the city of Oxford, all schools will be closed tomorrow. Main school road arteries Bramlett Avenue, Sisk Avenue, Jefferson Avenue, and Molly Barr all had large sections covered in ice as of 5 p.m. Tuesday. The district offices on Bramlett and Washington avenues will open at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
Regents School of Oxford said that it will be closed on Wednesday, January 17 due to driving conditions on College Hill Road and the low temperatures forecast for tomorrow.
