Senatobia High, Northwest campuses put on lockdown
The campuses of Senatobia High School and Northwest Mississippi Community College in Senatobia and Oxford were placed on lockdown this afternoon following a threat was made by a student, police said.
Senatobia Police say a threat was made to shoot up the campus.
The schools received an all-clear message a short time later.
Senatobia High School tweeted the following at 1:58 p.m.
“We are currently in a shelter in place procedure. Local law enforcement reported threat in immediate area. Students and faculty are in shelter in place and are safe. We will update when more information is available. Thank you for your patience.”
The lockdown was listed about 20 minutes later.
