A Memphis woman was arrested last week for allegedly using a fake credit card at a bank in Oxford.
According to the Oxford Police Department, investigators were contacted by an Oxford bank who stated that Gerrica Cole, 23, of Memphis, used a fraudulent credit card to obtain $3,000 from the bank. She allegedly attempted to go to another branch of the same bank to get more money but was denied.
A warrant for felony credit card fraud was issued for Cole. On April 16, OPD was contacted by the Wiggins Police Department who said Cole was in their custody on an unrelated charge.
She was picked up and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center where she was booked on a $5,000 bond.
