Timothy Drake Shafer, 25, died Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Born in Oxford, Drake loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children. He enjoyed collecting scrap metal and playing video games.

Drake is survived by his wife, Emily Botts Shafer of Etta, Mississippi; his parents, Rener Acree and Mike Shafer of Batesville; two daughters, Kayley Shafer and Madelynn Botts; two sons, Kyle and Noah Shafer; two sisters, Nicole Jordan of Ingomar, Mississippi and Jenny McAdory of Louisville, Mississippi and three brothers, Michael Shafer of New Albany, Mississippi, William “Billy” Shafer of New Albany, and Jeremy Shafer of Louisville.

Memorial contributions in Drake’s memory may be made to Pinedale Church of The Lord Jesus Christ, 1081 County Road 32, Etta, MS 38627.
