Sue Welch Willey

Mrs. Sue Welch Willey, 74, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Oxford Health and Rehab in Oxford.  A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be at the College Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Oxford.  Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Willey was born and raised in Oxford. She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church of Oxford. She would go always go out of her way to help those in need. She was always putting the needs of others before her own.

Mrs. Willey adored her family, especially her children. She lived a life of sacrifice to provide for her children and teach them about the love of Jesus.

She loved children and committed her life to their development through the daycare she owned for 35 years.  However, Mrs. Willey loved nothing more than her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Mrs. Willey is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Putman of Batesville, Miss; her son, Keith (Elizabeth) Welch of Franklin, Tenn; two sisters, Jan Webster and Barbara Browning, both of Oxford; two brothers, Thomas (Shirley) Styers of Spring Hill, Tenn, and Joe Styers of Oxford; 5 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Willey was preceded in death by her parents, Christine Styers and Albert Styers; and two sisters, Dot Weaver and Quida Hancock.

Donations and memorials in honor of Mrs. Sue Welch Willey may be made to the College Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund (339 CR 102, Oxford, MS 38655).
