Presley to Hold Public Hearing on Taylor Substation
Northern District Public Service Commissioner Brandon Presley will hold a public hearing regarding a request from North East Mississippi Electric Power Association to establish a substation in Taylor.
The hearing will be held on Wednesday, June 6 at 2 p.m. at Taylor Town Hall, located at 12 Main Street, Taylor, MS.
According to a recent news release, the substation is needed to accommodate a new TVA transmission line that will run from Oxford to Water Valley. If approved, the substation is expected to improve reliability for south Lafayette County customers.
