Wesscorp Investments, a Tennessee-based development company, recently purchased 156 acres of land on Highway 6 East with plans to develop North Grove Equestrian Park, LLC.

The park, still in its early stages of development, will feature a barn, paddocks, open fenced grazing areas, an arena and 130 acres of riding trails. The park will also include three large ponds and a creek running throughout.

The riding amenities include a 150-by-250-foot stadium arena with a professionally constructed base, a 100-by-200 foot open arena, a round pen and schooling areas.

In addition, North Grove will also offer full boarding services, training and other special events catered to the equestrian community, both at competitive and recreational levels.

The overall site and construction design was developed by Jim Bogan of  the Memphis-based firm McGee Nicholson Burke Architects. David Misenhelter, son of WessCorp Investments owner Wes Misenhelter and a member of Oxford Police Department’s Mounted Patrol, is also acting as a consultant on the project.

“Our mission is to provide North Mississippi with a means to motivate equestrian athletes in their respective sports and to inspire new riders to pursue their dreams,” Misenhelter said. “North Grove and its staff look forward to all of these exciting possibilities taking place soon.”

North Grove Equestrian Park is projected to be completed by October 2018.
