Edwin Earl Hill

Edwin Earl Hill, 90, passed away at his home in Water Valley on June 4, 2018. He was born Sept. 21, 1927 in Water Valley to the late Alfred Bennett and Vattie Vearl Hensley Hill. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a former Sunday school teacher and a faithful member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church, where he served during the construction of the church. He was a master brick mason and carpenter.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Water Valley. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Edwin Earl is survived by his daughter, Malinda Hill Turner of Aberdeen, Miss; his son, Ron Hill (Bettye) of Cleveland, Miss; two brothers, Jerry Wayne Hill and Thomas Franklin Hill both of Water Valley; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Black Hill; two sisters, Betty Ann Williams and Mary Lou Childress; and four brothers, Alfred Bennett Hill, Jr., Wayland Dean Hill, Sr., Bobby Hensley Hill, and Billy Jack Hill.
