Ole Miss dipped into the Midwest for its latest recruit.
Sacred Heart-Griffin High (Springfield, Illinois) offensive lineman Nick Broeker committed to the Rebels on Thursday, announcing his pledge with a post to his Twitter account. The 6-foot-6, 283-pound Broeker picked Ole Miss over offers from Illinois, Indiana, Missouri and others.
Broeker is a three-star prospect ranked as the No. 96 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 21 recruit in Illinois in the 247Sports.com composite rankings. He’s the Rebels’ 13th commitment and the second one on the offensive line, joining Harrison Central guard Bryce Ramsey.
Ole Miss’ class is ranked 15th nationally and seventh in the SEC in the 247Sports composite.
