Track 61, brainchild of Volta owner Brooke Krizbai, is venturing into the world of brunch.

The restaurant, which opened in spring 2018, has made a name for itself with its Italian fare, signature cocktails and contemporary atmosphere, but Krizbai said she still wanted more. Thus, the Sinatra Coffee Lounge was born.

“The Sinatra bar seemed like the perfect spot to grab a coffee, smoothie or breakfast snack.  Everything is easily made for grab and go, but it’s an awesome space to be able to chill and relax,” Krizbai said. “There isn’t a spot north of the square that offers espresso drinks or healthy grab and go breakfast.”

The Sinatra Coffee Lounge is open Tuesday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. until noon. Among the menu offerings are espresso drinks made with lavazza coffee beans for a smooth taste, smoothies and the social media-famous acai bowls.

Krizbai said she was inspired to include acai bowls on the menu after a vacation to the West Coast. The health benefits, not to mention the aesthetically pleasing presentation, are the perfect addition to the coffee lounge’s lineup, she said. The bowls are made up of a thick acai berry smoothie, topped with fresh fruit, granola and other toppings and eaten with a spoon.

“I had my first acai bowl when I went to California about 4 years ago,” Krizbai said. “I have been craving them ever since. It’s a wonderful antioxidant-packed, protein-packed, filling, delicious breakfast.”  

The Sinatra Coffee Lounge also serves alcoholic beverages, including $10 bottomless mimosas.

Bringing new flavors to Oxford is another reason Krizbai decided to open Track 61 and then expand into brunch foods, she said. Food aside, she said her main goal for the restaurant is to give locals and students a unique place to use as a workspace or to spend time visiting with friends.

“When you walk in, you instantly feel like you’ve been transported outside of Oxford into a metropolitan coffee lounge,” Krizbai said. “The Sinatra Coffee Lounge’s unique setting, delicious coffee, yummy snacks, and friendly staff will help you start your morning with a smile.”
