Batesville man arrested for shoplifting from Walmart

- On Friday, June 22, 2018, the Oxford Police Department picked up Dekedris McMillan (23 of Batesville, MS) from the Batesville Police Department on a felony shoplifting warrant. On April 24, 2018, the Oxford Wal-Mart filed a report for two males that left the store with approximately $1192.00 worth of merchandise without paying. McMillian was identified from surveillance cameras and a warrant was issued for his arrest. McMillian was transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center and given a bond of $1,500 by a Justice Court Judge.
The Oxford Police Department arrested Dekedris McMillan, 23 of Batesville, on a felony shoplifting warrant on Friday, June 22.
According to a statement from the department, the incident took place on April 24 at the Oxford Walmart. Two men were seen on surveillance camera footage leaving the store with $1,192 in merchandise they had not purchased.
McMillian was identified from surveillance cameras and a warrant was issued for his arrest. McMillian was transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center and given a bond of $1,500 by a Justice Court Judge.
