Ophelia Ann Stone, 81, of Banner, Miss., died July 1, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. Ophelia was born July 29, 1934, in Paris, Miss. to the late Robert Marshall and Lottie Mae Brasher. She worked at Rice-Stix Dry Goods Co. in Water Valley while in high school until her marriage to Luther F. Stone of Yalobusha County in 1951.  Later, Ophelia worked for Kroger Company in Memphis as an accountant until retiring to their farm in Calhoun County.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018, in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks. Burial will be in the Paris Cemetery.

Ophelia is survived by two daughters, Yvonne Ware of Germantown, Tenn. and Michele Stone of Southaven, Miss.; two sons, Thomas Stone of DeSoto County, Miss. and Timothy Stone of Sarah, Miss.; nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and her brother, Ernest Brasher of Drasco, Ark.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Robert and James Brasher and one step-sister, Audrey Davis Johnson.
