Investigators with the Oxford Police Department arrested Hannah Russell, 23 of Oxford, after receiving a report of credit card fraud.
An investigation was launched on Aug. 7, which determined Russell used the victim’s credit card to purchase a hotel room in Oxford totaling approximately $2,186.13. An arrest warrant was issued for Russell, who was arrested the next day in the hotel room she’d used the stolen card to pay for.
Russell was transported to less swanky lodging at the Lafayette County Detention Center, where her bond was set at $10,000 by a Justice Court Judge.
